Valentine’s Day 2011 ♥
Last year I wrote briefly of acceptance, that I judge that there should be more opportunities for fun games in the maṇḍala, of that mythical martyrdom for marriage rights, of surrealism, and of beautiful young men. This year I think I will put up my favorite picture of Aphrodite- Aphrodite and the Erotes, by Hullabaloo2. Ahh, who wouldn’t want to join them?
“God is Love. Whoever abides in Love abides in God, and God abides in him. In this, Love is made complete among us, that we will have fearless freedom on the day of judgment, that in this cosmos we are present, we exist just as He. There is no Fear in Love, but perfect Love casts out Fear, since Fear possesses punishment, and a man fearing is not made perfect in Love.” – 1 John 4
“A Mosaic lawyer, having come, heard them debating. Seeing that he answered beautifully, he demanded, ‘Which is the first of all the commandments?’
Jesus answered, ‘The first is this: “Hear, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One, and you will Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” The second is this, “You will Love your neighbor as yourself.” There is no commandment greater than these.’
And the lawyer said, ‘Beautifully, teacher, you speak of Truth in that God is One and there are none except Him, and to love Him with all your heart and with all your understanding and to love your neighbor just as yourself is superior to all burnt offerings and sacrifices.’
And Jesus, having seen that he had answered wisely, said to him, ‘You are not far from the Kingdom of God.’ And no one dared to interrogate him any further.” – Mark 12
Translations my own.
“Love is the law, love under will.” – Aleister Crowley
God is Love. His Love is our Body. Our Body is Light, eternal, immortal, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, and without judgment. There is no Love in Fear. There is nothing one may do to earn this Love; it possesses us always. I will always love you.
